Subsea Power Conversion & Distribution
2G Engineering designs and builds fully integrated subsea power systems with integrated host controllers for monitoring, controlling, and reporting to external systems. These systems are used for charging lithium batteries, boosting power through umbilicals, converting AC to DC power, enabling bidirectional DC-DC power flow, and stepping down to low voltage loads.
All our power supplies support a Modbus interface, and we provide PC software for user interaction, setup, and control. Our designs can be easily modified to meet each customer’s specific requirements—input voltage, output voltage, power level, communication interface, and mechanical envelope.

Purpose-Built Subsea Electronics
Every power supply is custom-designed for its application. Below are examples of the types of power conversion hardware we develop for our customers.
DC-DC Converter Modules
Compact bidirectional DC-DC converters designed for pressure-balanced oil-filled housings. These modules support input voltages up to 1000V and provide regulated output with constant-current and constant-voltage control. Modbus communications enable remote monitoring and configuration. Multiple modules can be paralleled for higher power applications.
Integrated Power Systems
For applications requiring a complete turnkey solution, we design fully integrated subsea power systems that combine power conversion, control electronics, and host communication in a single pressure housing. These systems include AC-DC front ends, DC-DC converters, battery chargers, and power distribution—all managed by an integrated controller with Modbus interface.
Custom Mechanical Design
Every power supply housing is designed to meet the customer’s specific depth rating, connector layout, and mounting requirements. We provide full 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for integration into the customer’s subsea system.
